Students
of Dakar American University of Science and Technology have won the HealthTech
category at the Scientific Innovation Hackathon organized by the African
Institute of Mathematics and Sciences of Senegal.
The
achievement follows their successful participation in the competition, where
teams were challenged to develop innovative technological solutions addressing
real-world problems. The DAUST students distinguished themselves through
creativity, teamwork, and strong technical execution, earning top recognition
in the HealthTech segment.

The
award recognizes the quality and relevance of their project, which focused on
applying technology to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes. Their success
highlights the capacity of DAUST students to design practical and impactful
solutions for the health sector using innovation and scientific knowledge.

University
officials congratulated the students on the achievement, describing it as a
reflection of the institution’s commitment to excellence in science,
technology, and innovation, as well as its emphasis on preparing students to
contribute meaningfully to Africa’s technological and healthcare development.
