MTN Côte d’Ivoire’s new Chief Executive Officer, Abbad Reda, has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with key sector regulators as the operator focuses on service quality, spectrum management and the development of an inclusive digital environment.

Reda held meetings with Roger Félix Adom, President of the Regulatory Council of the Telecommunications and ICT Regulatory Authority (ARTCI), and Yacouba Coulibaly, Director General of the Agency for the Management of Frequencies (AIGF).

The discussions focused on a shared vision for an inclusive and efficient digital ecosystem, with particular attention to the quality of telecommunications services and the optimal management of radio-frequency spectrum.

The meetings formed part of MTN Côte d’Ivoire’s efforts to strengthen institutional relations with regulators and other stakeholders across the digital and telecommunications sector.

MTN Côte d’Ivoire said closer engagement with sector institutions will support the company’s contribution to government priorities and the implementation of the National Development Plan.

The meetings also come as Reda begins his tenure as CEO, providing an opportunity to establish dialogue with the institutions responsible for regulating telecommunications services and managing critical spectrum resources.

MTN said it remains committed to working with the authorities and industry stakeholders to support the continued development of Côte d’Ivoire’s digital economy.
