OMCo S.A. and Morocco’s
Royal Centre for Remote Sensing in Space (CRTS) have signed a partnership and
cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing surveillance and monitoring of
infrastructure operated by OMCo, including the GME gas pipeline.
The agreement was formalised
on July 13, 2026, establishing a framework for active cooperation between the
two entities and the pooling of their expertise, resources and technical means
in support of shared objectives.
The agreement was signed by
Mohammed Benzaria, Director General of OMCo, and Brigadier General Akram Rafiq,
Director of the Royal Centre for Remote Sensing in Space.
The signing ceremony was
held in the presence of Amina Benkhadra, Director General of the National
Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) and President of OMCo.
The partnership will focus
on areas related to the surveillance and monitoring of infrastructure operated
by OMCo, with particular attention to the GME gas pipeline.
Through the agreement, OMCo
and CRTS will work towards combining their respective capabilities and
resources to enhance the monitoring of critical infrastructure and support the
effective achievement of their common objectives.
The collaboration also
provides a basis for greater technical cooperation between the two entities,
leveraging CRTS’s expertise in remote sensing and OMCo’s operational experience
in infrastructure management.
