The Gabonese Republic is
participating in the second edition of the International Forum of General
Secretariats of Governments, held from 14 to 16 October 2026 in Conakry,
Republic of Guinea, under the theme of integrating artificial intelligence into
public performance.
The forum provides a
framework for exchanges on modernising public administration and improving the
efficiency of government action, with a focus on strengthening cooperation
between African administrations and accelerating the digitalisation of public services.
The Gabonese delegation is
led by His Excellency Persis Lionel Essono Ondo, Ambassador of Gabon to the
Republic of Guinea, who represents the Secretary General of the Government,
Abdu Razzaq Guy Kambogo, who was unable to attend. The delegation also includes
several experienced executives from the central administration.
Initiated during its first
edition, held in Conakry in April 2025, the forum aims to make artificial
intelligence a lever for optimising administrative processes for the benefit of
citizens. Delegations from member countries of the International Network of
Secretariats of Government (RISGG) are meeting to compare experiences, share
expertise and identify best practices in administrative governance.
Beyond the technological
challenges, the forum also highlights an ambition shared by Gabon and the
Republic of Guinea to strengthen relations of friendship and cooperation
between Libreville and Conakry. The meeting provides an opportunity to promote
dialogue between administrations, share skills, strengthen institutional
capacities and advance cooperation focused on concrete results.
Through its participation,
Gabon reaffirms its interest in building African public governance based on
innovation, efficiency and cooperation. The approach aligns with the vision of
His Excellency Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, President of the Republic, Head of
State and Head of Government, to build a modern, efficient and innovative
administration capable of adapting to technological changes and responding
effectively to contemporary public service requirements.
