Sitoyo Lopokoiyit, Chief
Executive of Personal and Private Banking Pan-Africa at Absa Group, has
continued his Pan-African roadshows and engagements with colleagues and clients
across the bank’s markets, including visits to branches in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal,
South Africa.
During this week’s visit,
Lopokoiyit experienced the warm east coast hospitality of the province, which
serves as South Africa’s primary logistics and trade gateway and is home to the
country’s second-largest population.
KwaZulu-Natal has previously
inspired the development of innovations such as Absa’s Branch on the Move, a
scaled mobile branch solution deployed during the July 2021 riots.
The solution was sent to
urban and remote areas at a time when banking and other services were widely
inaccessible in affected areas. It enabled the bank to deliver a range of
essential banking support directly to clients, securely.
