Togo AI Lab has conducted an
immersion mission in Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium to explore approaches to
artificial intelligence, data governance and digital transformation as part of
efforts to strengthen public services in Togo.
The mission took place from
October 19 to 26, 2026, with a delegation from Togo AI Lab working alongside
ATD, Djanta Tech Hub and GIZ Togo under the ProDigiT project.
The programme included
meetings with public institutions, research centres and universities, including
GovTech Campus Deutschland and CityLAB Berlin in Germany, the German Research
Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), the University of Luxembourg, Meluxina
(LuxProvide), BeCentral and the European Data Protection Supervisor.
The exchanges enabled the
delegation to explore approaches to artificial intelligence, data governance
and digital transformation, while identifying potential areas for
collaboration.
According to Togo AI Lab,
the mission provided concrete lessons to strengthen the Lab’s capacities and
support the development of solutions adapted to Togolese realities.
Through the initiative, Togo
AI Lab continues its commitment to digital transformation based on data,
artificial intelligence and the sharing of expertise.
