Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani has
extended heartfelt congratulations to Oluwatobi Oyinlola for securing a
Guinness World Record by creating the smallest GPS tracking device ever
documented. Measuring just 22.93 mm by 11.92 mm (0.90 x 0.46 inches), the
breakthrough prototype was officially recognized in Cambridge, Massachusetts,
on April 27, 2025.

announcement, Dr. Tijani reflected on his early support for Oyinlola’s IoT
startup, emphasizing the innovator’s relentless drive to push technological
