The Regional
African Satellite Communications Organization (RASCOM) reinforced its
commitment to Africa's space development agenda through active participation in
the inaugural African Space Solutions Market (MASS 2025). RASCOM Director
General Timothy Adi Ashong joined heads of space agencies, government ministers
and industry leaders at the high-level forum convened by the African Space
Agency (AfSA) at Abidjan's Parc des Expositions.

The three-day
summit attracted over 3,000 delegates from across Africa's growing space
sector, with RASCOM showcasing its pioneering work in bridging digital divides
through satellite connectivity. Director General Ashong contributed to
strategic discussions on leveraging space technologies for climate resilience,
digital education and continental security during the executive dialogues.
"Africa's
space revolution must prioritize tangible solutions for our unique
challenges," stated Ashong during the
proceedings. "RASCOM remains dedicated to transforming satellite
connectivity from infrastructure into real empowerment for every African
community." His interventions highlighted the organization's expanding
partnerships to deploy next-generation satellite services across remote
regions.

The Director
General's participation included bilateral engagements with counterparts from
Côte d'Ivoire's Ministry of Digital Transition, Smart Africa leadership and
private sector innovators exploring RASCOM's upcoming satellite capacity
enhancements. These discussions advanced concrete collaborations expected to be
formalized before year-end.
MASS 2025
established itself as Africa's premier platform for converting space ambitions
into implementable projects, with RASCOM positioned as a key enabler of the
continent's integrated satellite communications ecosystem. The organization's
exhibition stand attracted strong interest from national telecommunications
regulators and rural connectivity providers seeking partnerships.
