The Ministry of
Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations has entered into strategic
discussions with Bayobab Ghana to accelerate the nation's digital
transformation agenda. During a recent courtesy visit, representatives from the
MTN Group subsidiary outlined plans to expand fiber optic infrastructure across
Ghana, aligning with the country's growing demand for high-speed internet
connectivity.

The Minister of
Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George indicated
the government's commitment to collaborating with private sector partners to
build a resilient digital ecosystem. The meeting explored opportunities to
enhance connectivity nationwide and foster innovation through infrastructure
development.
Bayobab Ghana's
expansion plans form part of MTN Group's broader African connectivity strategy,
which aims to strengthen digital infrastructure across the continent. The
proposed fiber network upgrades promise to support Ghana's digital economy
ambitions while improving access to reliable internet services for businesses
and consumers.

The minister
expressed optimism about the partnership's potential to drive sustainable
growth in Ghana's telecommunications sector. The collaboration reflects the
