MTN Eswatini
has officially commenced its 18th annual 21 Days of Y'ello Care campaign, a
flagship corporate social investment program focused on bridging the digital
divide in underserved communities. The initiative was launched by Principal
Secretary Phesheya Dube, representing Honourable Savannah Maziya, Minister of
ICT.
This year's
theme, "Connecting at the Roots – Connecting Communities through Digital
Tools," reflects MTN's commitment to grassroots digital transformation.
The campaign brings together an unprecedented coalition of partners including
multiple government ministries, academic institutions, private sector
organizations, and civil society groups.

Over the next
three weeks, MTN employees will implement diverse community projects across the
kingdom. The 2025 edition features an expanded program including AI training
workshops through the University of Eswatini AI Academy, e-commerce skills
development, and critical infrastructure projects such as solar-powered
boreholes and road access improvements in remote areas.
"Through
these initiatives, we're planting seeds for sustainable digital
inclusion," said an MTN Eswatini spokesperson.
The campaign builds on previous years' successes while introducing innovative
components addressing current needs – particularly in artificial intelligence
education and digital entrepreneurship.
Strategic
partnerships with Standard Bank Eswatini, Oracle Group, and multiple government
ministries ensure the program's interventions align with national development
priorities. The collaboration with the Ministry of Tertiary Education and
Skills Training will focus on equipping youth with future-ready digital skills,
while infrastructure projects support the government's rural development
agenda.

Since its
inception, the 21 Days of Y'ello Care initiative has become one of Southern
Africa's most enduring corporate social responsibility programs, with MTN
Eswatini employees volunteering thousands of hours annually. This year's
edition marks a significant evolution by incorporating emerging technologies
into community development efforts, positioning Eswatini for inclusive
participation in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
