MTN
Group has concluded its Global Leadership Gathering (GLG) 2026 with a gala
dinner that brought together senior leaders and teams from across its
operations to celebrate excellence, innovation, and leadership within the
Group.
The
highlight of the evening was the recognition of winners of the Million Dollar
Challenge for 2025, MTN’s flagship internal competition aimed at driving
strategic execution, innovation, and value creation across its markets.

MTN
Ghana emerged as the Overall Winner of the Million Dollar Challenge,
underscoring its strong performance across multiple strategic pillars. In a key
leadership recognition, MTN Group President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr.
Karl Olutokun Toriola, was named CEO of the Year.
Awards
were presented across several business categories. Under the theme “Build the
Largest and Most Valuable Platform,” MTN Ghana claimed top honours in Fintech,
Enterprise, and Consumer segments, while Bayobab Central African Republic won
in Digital Infrastructure. MTN Cameroon was recognised for excellence in the
Home category.

In
the Enablers category, MTN South Africa was awarded for Technology Platforms
Second to None, while MTN Nigeria received recognition for Value-Based Capital
Allocation and Organisational Health Index. MTN Uganda was honoured for ESG at
the Core, highlighting its commitment to sustainability, while MTN Cameroon was
recognised for Future-Fit Talent and Employee Engagement.

The
gala dinner also showcased the cultural diversity of the MTN footprint, with
teams appearing in traditional regalia, reflecting the Group’s “One MTN” ethos
of unity, pride, and shared purpose across Africa and the Middle East.
