Gabon
has highlighted its digital governance initiatives at the World Government
Summit 2026 in Dubai, with the Minister of Digital Economy, Digitalization and
Innovation, Mark-Alexander Doumba representing the country. The Minister
participated in a high-level panel on digital transformation, sharing Gabon’s
vision to make the State more productive, agile, and efficient, while driving
private sector growth.

During
his address, the Minister emphasized the adoption of structuring digital laws,
the establishment of centralized governance within the Ministry, and the
consolidation of the State’s digital services to improve efficiency. He also
outlined the introduction of an electronic signatures law, projected to save
billions of CFA francs in paper costs, and initiatives to reduce administrative
burdens, streamline bureaucracy, and simplify access to public services for
citizens.

Gabon’s
participation in the Summit underscores its commitment to modern,
results-driven digital governance aimed at fostering economic development and
enhancing citizen services.
