The
Université Rose Dieng France-Sénégal and the Académie Nationale des Sciences et
Techniques du Sénégal (ANSTS) have signed a specific partnership agreement
aimed at strengthening collaboration in research, innovation and technology
development.

The
agreement was signed this month, marks what both institutions described as a
significant step toward translating their cooperation into concrete
initiatives.
The
partnership is structured around three strategic academic chairs: Digital
Health and Medical Intelligence, Digital Agriculture and Agro-Industrial
Intelligence, and Cybersecurity and Space for Digital Sovereignty.
According
to the institutions, the collaboration will focus on mobilizing artificial
intelligence, robotics and advanced technologies to address Senegal’s priority
development needs, in alignment with the country’s Senegal 2050 Vision.
The
partners said the initiative is designed to extend beyond academic research by
fostering an innovation ecosystem that connects universities, industry, public
institutions and international stakeholders.

The
agreement is expected to support applied research projects with societal
impact, strengthen national innovation capacity, encourage the creation of
startups and contribute to the development of sovereign technological
solutions.
Professor
Moctar Touré and representatives of ANSTS highlighted the importance of the
partnership in advancing scientific excellence and positioning Senegal as a hub
for research and innovation in Africa.
