Morocco
hosted the Iberia–Morocco Startup Connect 2030 on February 11, 2026, an event
chaired by Mrs. Amal El Falah Seghrouchani, Minister Delegate to the Prime
Minister in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform. The
initiative, organized under the Ministry of Digital Transition and
Administrative Reform and spearheaded by Glovo in cooperation with Stargate,
brought together key players from the innovation and technology ecosystem,
alongside the Ambassadors of Spain and Portugal in Morocco.

The
event aimed to foster collaboration between the Spanish and Moroccan innovation
ecosystems and position Morocco as a regional technology hub in Africa. During
her remarks, Minister Seghrouchani emphasized that the initiative aligns with
Morocco’s national vision and the directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI,
highlighting the Digital Morocco Strategy 2030 as a roadmap for building an
integrated, globally connected startup ecosystem.
She
noted tangible achievements, including the establishment of the Glovo Startup
Lab and mobilization of approximately AED 1.2 billion to support venture
capital funding and assist startups in expanding internationally.

The
initiative also seeks to attract Spanish and Portuguese investments, facilitate
cross-border growth of technology companies, and create integrated networks of
incubators and support centers for startups across Morocco.
