Morocco
has formalized a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening national
competencies in technology, data, and artificial intelligence through a
multi-stakeholder agreement involving key government institutions and the
private sector.
The
agreement was signed in Rabat with the participation of Amal El Falah
Segroucheni, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of Digital
Transformation and Administrative Reform. The partnership brings together the
Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific
Research and Innovation, the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative
Reform, and AXA.
The
initiative is designed to accelerate the development of digital talent by
introducing both foundational and advanced training programs. The framework
includes rotational training models, continuous professional development
pathways, and support for research and development projects linked to digital
transformation.
According
to officials, the agreement emphasizes aligning training systems with evolving
labor market demands. Universities, public higher education institutions, and
specialized schools under the Ministry of Industry and Trade are expected to
play a central role in implementing the programs.
Segroucheni
underscored the strategic importance of building digital and AI capabilities,
describing talent development as a core pillar of Morocco’s digital
transformation agenda. She noted that the partnership contributes to
establishing a national ecosystem capable of anticipating technological shifts
while strengthening the country’s technological sovereignty.
Authorities
indicated that the collaboration also supports Morocco’s ambition to position
itself as a regional hub for technology-driven professions, with a focus on
enhancing competitiveness and fostering innovation across sectors.
