Egypt has signed a landmark agreement with Hadaek to bring a comprehensive
digital transformation to two of Egypt’s most historic landmarks, the Giza Zoo
and Orman Garden. The project aims to modernize their operations through an
Intelligent Zoo System, IoT solutions, AI-enabled management, and advanced
safety and energy systems, while preserving their architectural and cultural
heritage.

Hazem
Metwally, CEO of e& Egypt, highlighted the personal significance of the
initiative, reflecting on how experiences at these landmarks shape childhood
memories and instill a connection with nature. “The best place for any animal
is in the wild, but well-managed parks and sanctuaries play a crucial role in
conservation, education, and care for animals that cannot survive on their
own,” Metwally said.

Under
the partnership, e& Egypt will serve as the long-term technology partner,
building and managing a digital ecosystem designed to improve animal welfare,
enhance visitor experiences, and advance environmental sustainability.
The
initiative underscores the potential for historic spaces to evolve into living
environments where technology and nature coexist for the benefit of current and
future generations.
