Yas
Tanzania has recognised the efforts of the e-Government Authority (eGA) in
strengthening government ICT systems and advancing the country’s digital
transformation agenda.
In
a statement, the telecommunications provider praised the progress made in
modernising public sector digital infrastructure, noting that ongoing
improvements are enhancing operational efficiency, expanding access to public
services, and supporting the development of an inclusive e-Government
framework.
Yas
Tanzania highlighted its continued investments in communications
infrastructure, including the expansion of 4G and 5G networks across both urban
and rural areas. The company stated that its objective is to ensure that
government digital services remain fast, secure, and reliable, while enabling
public institutions to operate more effectively.
According
to the company, its network coverage now reaches more than 95% of Tanzania’s
population, providing connectivity solutions that support digital service
delivery and institutional performance.

Tanzania emphasised the importance of collaboration between the public and
private sectors in accelerating national digitalisation efforts. The provider
reaffirmed its commitment to working with government institutions to support
the National Development Vision 2050, which prioritises innovation, technology
adoption, and investment as drivers of economic modernisation.
The
recognition reflects the growing role of partnerships between regulators,
government agencies, and technology providers in shaping Tanzania’s evolving
digital economy.
