MTN Côte d’Ivoire has
underscored the country’s central role in the company’s regional growth plans
following a high-level visit by Dr. Karl Olutokun Toriola, MTN’s Vice President
for West Africa.
During a 24-hour working
visit to Abidjan, Dr. Toriola engaged with key stakeholders, including Côte
d’Ivoire’s Minister of Digital Transition and Technological Innovation, Djibril
Ouattara. The discussions focused on the country’s evolving digital landscape
and the alignment between national digital priorities and MTN’s regional
strategy.

Dr. Toriola congratulated
the Minister on his recent appointment and reiterated the strategic importance
of Côte d’Ivoire within MTN’s West African operations. He also acknowledged the
government’s efforts to accelerate digital transformation, strengthen the
technology ecosystem, and stimulate investment in the telecommunications
sector.
The meeting highlighted
MTN’s commitment to supporting Côte d’Ivoire’s digital development agenda. The
company emphasized its continued focus on advancing innovation, expanding
connectivity, and contributing to the country’s broader socio-economic progress.
Côte d’Ivoire remains one of
MTN’s key markets in West Africa, reflecting the operator’s broader objective
of reinforcing digital infrastructure and enabling inclusive digital growth
across the region.
