MTN Zambia and ZICTA launch Katiula Tower to expand connectivity in Katete District

Zambia, in partnership with the Zambia Information and Communication Technology
Authority (ZICTA), has launched the Katiula Tower in Katete District as part of
efforts to strengthen network coverage and expand digital access.
The
tower was officially commissioned in the presence of the Minister of Technology
and Science, Felix Mutati, who attended the event as Guest of Honour.
The
new infrastructure is expected to enhance connectivity for communities in and
around Katete District, supporting improved access to digital services,
communication, and online opportunities.

Zambia stated that the deployment forms part of its broader strategy to bridge
the digital divide through continued investment in network expansion and
infrastructure development, with the objective of extending the benefits of
modern connectivity to underserved areas.
