Domain Summit Africa, a two-day strategic gathering uniting leaders from the global domain industry, has officially commenced in Nairobi. Hosted by Domain Summit London in partnership with KeNIC (.KE), the summit brings together ccTLD operators, regulators, enterprise stakeholders, and innovators from Africa, the USA, the UK, the Middle East, and Asia to foster collaboration and drive a trusted digital ecosystem across the continent.

The event emphasizes building sustainable partnerships and aligning governments, regulators, and industry players around common goals for digital identity, security, and connectivity. Key speakers highlighted the importance of trusted domain infrastructure, with .KE positioned as a foundation for Kenya’s digital identity framework.

KICTANet, represented by Neema Masitsa, actively participated in multi-stakeholder discussions, contributing to dialogues on shaping Africa’s digital future. Other participating organizations include the ICT Authority, Communications Authority of Kenya, Kenya Education Network, Africa Top Level Domains, ICANN, TESPOK, and the Ministry of ICT.

Organizers said the summit aims to strengthen the African domain ecosystem, foster business collaboration, and ensure that digital development is guided by trust, innovation, and shared standards.
