The
Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM) has supported pupils at Ezulwini
Valley Primary School through a staff-led corporate social responsibility
initiative aimed at assisting learners in need.
According
to the Commission, employees voluntarily raised funds through personal
contributions, resulting in the donation of 72 pairs of school shoes to pupils
at the school located in the Ezulwini Valley, Eswatini.

The
initiative was driven directly by ESCCOM staff as part of efforts to extend the
institution’s impact beyond its regulatory mandate. The Commission noted that
the gesture reflects a broader commitment to social responsibility and youth
development.
Speaking
during the presentation, the Eswatini Communications Commission Chief Executive
underscored the importance of investing in the welfare of young learners,
indicating that the donation forms part of a wider strategy of community
engagement.
The
Chief Executive stated that the Commission intends to build sustained
partnerships with local schools to support students and contribute to
educational outcomes.

ESCCOM
emphasized that such interventions complement its core responsibilities by
promoting social upliftment and community development alongside its role in
regulating the communications sector.
