The
Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey
George has met with the Nigerian High Commissioner, Ambassador Ifedayo Moses
Adeoye, to discuss strategies for addressing cybercrime involving Nigerian
nationals in Ghana.

The
discussions focused on reviewing the outcomes of Ghana’s recent crackdown on
cybercrime and identifying ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in securing
the digital space.
Ambassador
Adeoye expressed concern over the arrests and pledged to address the root
causes of cybercrime, while emphasizing the need to protect law-abiding
Nigerians and strengthen border security measures.

Both
officials underlined the importance of maintaining strong Ghana–Nigeria
relations and called on Nigerian citizens to act as responsible ambassadors of
their country. The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both nations to
collaborate in combating cybercrime and ensuring a safe and secure digital
environment.
