Students from Nyasa Junior Academy has visited UniPod Malawi for a Career Day programme focused on innovation, technology and future career opportunities.

The visit provided learners with an opportunity to tour the facility and gain insight into how ideas are developed into practical solutions. Students were introduced to prototyping tools and digital technologies used to address challenges across key sectors, including agriculture, health, education and environmental management.

A highlight of the programme was a hands-on drone session, where students explored practical applications of drone technology in agriculture, mapping and environmental monitoring. Facilitators also emphasized the growing importance of information and communication technology skills in an evolving job market increasingly shaped by digital transformation.

The event featured a career talk designed to inspire students to identify their strengths, commit to continuous learning and consider innovation and entrepreneurship as viable career pathways.

Organizers said the initiative reflects UniPod Malawi’s ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between education and innovation by exposing young learners to emerging technologies and practical problem-solving approaches. Through such engagements, the institution aims to nurture future-ready innovators equipped to contribute to national development.
