Raxio Data Centres has launched the indigenous ABQ
Cloud in Uganda in collaboration with Roke Cloud, the Ministry of Science,
Technology and Innovation, and other technology partners.

The new cloud platform is designed to support Uganda’s
digital transformation agenda by providing locally hosted infrastructure for
government services, startups and enterprises. Stakeholders said the initiative
aims to enhance innovation capacity while reinforcing national digital
sovereignty through secure, in-country data solutions.
ABQ Cloud is positioned as a foundational platform to
enable scalable digital services and strengthen the country’s technology
ecosystem. The partners indicated that the platform will play a role in
supporting public sector digitization, private sector growth and emerging
technologies, including artificial intelligence.

Raxio
stated that its AI Sovereign Cloud strategy goes beyond infrastructure
deployment, focusing on accelerating national digital transformation through
resilient, locally managed cloud capabilities.
