Smart
Africa has conducted a scoping mission in Senegal as part of the Africa Europe
Digital Innovation Bridge (AEDIB) programme, aimed at strengthening digital
innovation and enhancing collaboration between Africa and Europe.
The
mission was carried out in partnership with Expertise France, Netherlands
Enterprise Agency and Enabel, engaging more than eight key stakeholders from
both the public and private sectors. Discussions focused on gaining deeper
insights into the priorities, opportunities and challenges shaping Senegal’s
digital entrepreneurship ecosystem.

According
to Smart Africa, the engagement forms part of efforts to better understand
local innovation landscapes and identify areas where collaboration and targeted
support can accelerate digital transformation and entrepreneurship growth.
The
Senegal visit represents the third scoping mission under the AEDIB programme,
following similar engagements previously conducted in Côte d’Ivoire and
Botswana.
Through
the initiative, Smart Africa and its partners aim to strengthen links between
African and European digital innovation ecosystems, promote knowledge exchange
and support the development of sustainable digital enterprises across the
continent.
Smart
Africa expressed appreciation to all partners and stakeholders involved in the
mission for their contributions and continued support in advancing digital
innovation in Senegal.
