Ethiopost
and Ahadu Bank have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at expanding access to
financial services across Ethiopia through the postal service’s nationwide
network.
Under
the partnership, Ahadu Bank’s services will be delivered through more than
1,000 Ethiopost branches across the country, with the postal operator serving
as an agent of the bank to provide banking and related financial services to
customers.

Officials
said the collaboration will make it easier for customers to access banking
services closer to where they live, improving convenience and efficiency in
financial service delivery.
The
agreement is also expected to support Ethiopost’s broader strategy of expanding
its service offerings and strengthening partnerships within the financial
sector.

Representatives
from both institutions noted that leveraging Ethiopost’s extensive branch
network will help improve access to modern financial services while supporting
greater financial inclusion across Ethiopia.
