Zambia
and Mauritius have boosted cooperation in technology and digital services at
the Mauritius-Zambia ICT Business Forum held in Lusaka. The event is jointly
organised by the Zambia Development Agency and the Economic Development Board
Mauritius as part of the Mauritius Africa Export of ICT Services Roadshow.
The
forum brought together government officials and ICT companies from both
countries to explore investment opportunities and collaboration in fintech,
cybersecurity, e-governance, and digital innovation.

Zambia’s
Minister of Science and Technology, Felix Mutati, officiated the event, while
Mauritius’ Minister of ICT, Dr. Avinash Ramtohul, presented his country’s
vision for regional digital growth.
A
delegation of 11 Mauritian ICT firms engaged in business-to-business sessions
with over 70 Zambian enterprises. The initiative aims to foster innovation,
create jobs, and strengthen digital ecosystems across both markets,
underscoring a shared commitment to leveraging technology as a driver of inclusive
economic growth in Africa.
