The Mauritius Research and Innovation Council has convened an information session aimed at supporting researchers, universities and small and medium-sized enterprises in accessing funding opportunities under the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme.

The session, held at the Telecom Campus in Ebene Cybercity, brought together 108 stakeholders from across the research and innovation ecosystem, including representatives from public and private tertiary institutions, research organisations, non-governmental organisations and industry.

The event was attended by Kaviraj Sharma Sukon, alongside Khemduth Singh Angateeah and Theesan Bahorun.

Discussions focused on guiding participants through application processes and strengthening collaboration among stakeholders to enhance participation in international research and innovation programmes.

Organisers said the session forms part of ongoing efforts to foster innovation, build partnerships and position Mauritius more strongly within global research networks.
