Ghana
has reinforced its engagement with the Digital Cooperation Organization
following the presentation of credentials by its Ambassador to Saudi Arabia,
Alhaji Said Saleh Sinare, as the country’s Diplomatic Liaison to the
organization.
The
engagement took place at the DCO headquarters in Riyadh, where discussions
focused on Ghana’s digital growth trajectory and opportunities for enhanced
collaboration. Ghana was highlighted as a leading example of Africa’s digital
transformation, with approximately 75 percent nationwide penetration and 119
percent mobile connectivity.

Talks
also explored how the DCO can support Ghana’s digital ambitions through
knowledge exchange, technical expertise and the deployment of digital tools. As
a member State of the organization, Ghana has demonstrated strong performance
across key digital economy indicators, particularly in digital adoption aimed
at advancing social inclusion.
Both
parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation to further
accelerate Ghana’s digital transformation and contribute to broader digital
development across member countries.
