A
new digital agriculture platform, FlowAgril, has been launched in Senegal to
enhance access to agricultural services and support the transformation of the
country’s agri-food systems.
The
initiative, highlighted by The Alliance in Africa, is designed to provide
farmers with accessible and practical tools to support daily decision-making,
particularly in areas such as agricultural advisory services and climate
information.

FlowAgril
leverages digital technology to improve the dissemination of critical data,
enabling farmers to better respond to climate-related challenges and strengthen
resilience across the agricultural sector.
The
platform also aims to promote more inclusive and sustainable food systems by
targeting key stakeholders, including women and young people, who play a
central role in agricultural production and innovation.

Stakeholders
say the initiative demonstrates how simple, user-focused digital solutions can
deliver scalable and lasting impact, contributing to improved productivity and
sustainability within Africa’s food systems.
