Absa Group appoints Sitoyo Lopokoiyit as Chief Executive of Personal and Private Banking

Absa
Group has appointed Sitoyo Lopokoiyit as Chief Executive of its Personal and
Private Banking (PBB) division, reinforcing its leadership team as the bank
advances its digital and customer-focused strategy.
Lopokoiyit
joins Absa from M-PESA Africa, where he served as Chief Executive and oversaw
the growth of one of the continent’s leading mobile financial services
platforms, reaching more than 56 million customers across seven markets.
The
bank said his experience across financial services, fintech and digital
innovation will support its efforts to adapt to evolving customer expectations
and the increasing role of technology in the banking sector.
In
his new role, Lopokoiyit is expected to drive innovation, strengthen
customer-centric services and enhance digital experiences across Absa’s
operations in Africa.
