Econet
InfraCo has successfully listed on the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange, marking a
significant milestone for Zimbabwe’s digital infrastructure sector.
The
development has been welcomed by Zimbabwe’s Minister of ICT, Postal and Courier
Services, Tatenda Mavetera, who described the listing as a reflection of the
growing importance of shared infrastructure platforms in advancing national
connectivity and digital transformation.

Mavetera
noted that infrastructure sharing policies, including tower sharing and
co-location among telecom operators, are helping to reduce costs, accelerate
network expansion and improve affordability of services across the country.
The
minister also highlighted the adoption of the “infrastructure as a service”
model by Econet InfraCo, which enables broader access to telecom towers, power
and related assets, aligning with government efforts to promote efficiency,
expand coverage and strengthen competition in the sector.

The
listing is expected to support Zimbabwe’s broader digital economy ambitions
under its Vision 2030 strategy, aimed at fostering investment, innovation and
inclusive access to digital services.
