The
Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has officially inducted its newly
appointed Directors in a session aimed at strengthening leadership and
enhancing governance within the organisation.
The
induction, held at the CA Centre, was presided over by CA Chairperson Charles
Karondo, who welcomed the new board members and emphasised their role in
guiding the Authority’s strategic direction.

During
the session, the Directors were taken through the Authority’s mandate,
strategic priorities, and ongoing initiatives shaping Kenya’s information,
communications, and broadcasting sector.
The
engagement also provided an opportunity for the new board members to
familiarise themselves with CA’s operational structure, governance framework,
and key national ICT projects. It further facilitated interaction with the
management team to promote coordination and institutional alignment.

The
Authority stated that the induction marks a key step in reinforcing leadership
capacity as it continues to implement policies aimed at advancing innovation,
improving regulatory effectiveness, and expanding inclusive connectivity across
Kenya.
The
newly appointed Directors are expected to contribute to strengthening the
country’s digital ecosystem and supporting the growth of the ICT and
broadcasting sectors.
