The Minister of Digital
Transition and Technological Innovation of Côte d’Ivoire, Djibril Ouattara, has
held discussions with a delegation from VISA on strengthening collaboration in
key areas of the country’s digital transformation agenda.
The meeting took place in
Abidjan during a working visit by the VISA delegation led by Tareq Muhmood.
According to the ministry,
discussions focused on several strategic priorities including digital
transformation, the development of postal financial services, startup financing
and support, as well as cybersecurity.

The engagement forms part of
ongoing efforts by the Ivorian government to accelerate digital innovation and
expand access to digital services across the country.
During the meeting, the VISA
delegation expressed its commitment to supporting the ministry’s initiatives
aimed at advancing Côte d’Ivoire’s digital transformation agenda.
The discussions also
highlighted the growing role of partnerships between governments and global
technology and financial service providers in driving digital inclusion,
innovation ecosystems, and secure digital infrastructure across Africa.
