The
INCM - Autoridade Reguladora das Comunicações has hosted students from the
Faculty of Engineering and Technology of the Pedagogical University as part of
efforts to strengthen collaboration between academia and the communications
sector in Mozambique.
The
study visit was designed to provide students with practical exposure to the
country’s telecommunications and communications regulatory environment while
deepening their understanding of emerging technologies and sector operations.

During
the visit, students received presentations on radio spectrum management and
supervision, telecommunications sector oversight, licensing processes, and
emerging technologies including 5G and satellite communications.
The
programme also featured practical demonstrations of radio spectrum monitoring
and guided tours of the institution’s technical facilities.
Speaking
during the opening session, INCM Administrator for Corporate Affairs, Celso
Xerinda, underscored the importance of giving students direct exposure to the
institutional and technological realities of the communications sector, while
highlighting the need for continuous development of skilled professionals.

The
initiative forms part of INCM’s broader commitment to promoting innovation,
knowledge-sharing, and technical skills development to support the future
growth of telecommunications and information technologies in Mozambique.
