MoMo by MTN Uganda participated in the Women in Banking and Finance Conference 2026 held at Mestil Hotel & Residences, joining industry leaders, professionals, and changemakers to discuss the future of finance under the theme “Give to Gain: Investing in Women, Transforming Finance.”

The MoMo team, led by Acting Chief Financial Officer Martha Bisamaza, contributed to discussions focused on strengthening women’s leadership and advancing inclusion across the financial sector.

Speaking during the conference, Bisamaza underscored the importance of intentional sponsorship for women in leadership, noting that organizations must go beyond informal recognition and actively create opportunities for women to demonstrate measurable impact through leadership roles and strategic assignments.

Her remarks emphasized the need for institutions to deliberately identify high-potential women and entrust them with meaningful responsibilities that contribute to business transformation and sector-wide growth.

The conference brought together stakeholders from across the banking and financial services industry to explore strategies for advancing gender inclusion, leadership development, and sustainable sector transformation. MoMo by MTN Uganda reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that empower women and strengthen leadership capacity within the financial ecosystem.
