The competition, organised by Mauritius Telecom in collaboration with the Mauritius Film Development Corporation (MFDC), brought together 157 participants from Mauritius and Rodrigues across different age groups. The award ceremony was held at Telecom Tower and attended by Minister of Arts and Culture Mahen Gondeea, alongside senior leadership from Mauritius Telecom, including CEO Veemal Gungadin and Chairman Sarat Lallah. Representatives of the MFDC, including CEO Kevin Gutty and Chairman Arvind Mattadeen, as well as MBC Director General Alain Gordon-Gentil, were also present.

Gukhoul Shivam Singh emerged as the overall winner with his entry titled “2070 A Letter From Tomorrow,” receiving an iPhone 17 and a cash prize of Rs 15,000. Vivek Binda secured second place, while Shane Alvein Gokhool placed third.

All ten finalists received a Rs 2,000 my.t money voucher and were awarded opportunities to participate in an exclusive Sony Masterclass in filmmaking, as well as production workshops aimed at further developing their creative and technical skills.
