Botswana
Fibre Networks (BoFiNet) has donated artificial intelligence and cybersecurity
books to Natale Primary School as part of its participation in the World
Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) commemoration held in
Natale Village.
The
initiative is aimed at strengthening digital literacy among young learners by
exposing them early to emerging technologies and building awareness of the
skills required in an increasingly digital economy.

The
donation was led by Botswana Fibre Networks (BoFiNet) Technical Executive Mpho
Koolese, with support from Commercial Executive Keabetswe Segole. The company
said the initiative reflects its broader commitment to supporting education,
innovation and community development through access to knowledge.
BoFiNet
noted that introducing concepts such as artificial intelligence and
cybersecurity at primary school level can help foster curiosity and prepare
learners to participate meaningfully in Botswana’s evolving digital landscape.

The
donation forms part of wider activities marking WTISD, which focuses on
promoting the role of information and communication technologies in social and
economic development.
