Kenya has reiterated its
commitment to advancing inclusive and resilient digital transformation as
global leaders convened in Paris ahead of the G7 Digital Ministers’ Meeting.
Cabinet Secretary for
Information, Communications and the Digital Economy William Kabogo Gitau joined
fellow G7 and G7+ ministers and heads of delegation for an official welcome
session marking the start of high-level discussions on digital cooperation.
The meeting brings together
policymakers to deliberate on key areas including digital transformation,
artificial intelligence, innovation, and global connectivity, with a focus on
strengthening international partnerships to support inclusive digital development.

Speaking on the engagement,
Kabogo Gitau said the discussions present a significant opportunity to deepen
collaboration among nations in shaping the future of the global digital
economy. He emphasized Kenya’s continued commitment to building a digital ecosystem
that is inclusive, resilient, and responsive to emerging technological trends.
The G7 Digital Ministers’
Meeting is expected to further explore policy coordination and joint action
aimed at addressing digital divides while promoting innovation-driven growth
across participating countries.
