Ghana and United Kingdom hold bilateral Relations in high-level talks at Downing Street

The President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, has held bilateral discussions with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Sir Keir Starmer, at 10 Downing Street, focusing on strengthening diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries.

The meeting centered on deepening cooperation in trade and investment, as well as exploring new areas of mutual interest aimed at supporting sustainable economic growth and shared prosperity.

Both leaders discussed opportunities to enhance bilateral partnerships that can drive development outcomes and expand economic collaboration between Ghana and the United Kingdom.

The engagement forms part of ongoing efforts by both countries to reinforce longstanding diplomatic ties and strengthen cooperation in key sectors of the economy.

Officials indicated that the discussions also reflected a shared commitment to advancing initiatives that promote inclusive growth and mutually beneficial investment opportunities.

The Ghana High Commission in the United Kingdom noted that the meeting underscores the importance both nations place on maintaining strong strategic relations and fostering continued collaboration at the highest level.
