Jumia Nigeria has held a stakeholder consultation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) focused on expanding access to e-commerce and strengthening inclusive participation in Africa’s digital economy.

The engagement took place last month when Jumia Nigeria Chief Executive Officer, Temidayo Ojo, received a UNDP delegation for discussions on Africa’s E-commerce Inclusivity Study.

According to the company, the conversation centred on improving access to digital commerce platforms, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, and creating opportunities for broader participation in the continent’s growing digital economy.

Jumia noted that such partnerships are critical to advancing inclusive digital growth and ensuring that more businesses benefit from the expansion of online trade across Africa.

The engagement comes as the company marks its 14th anniversary, with leadership emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration with development partners and stakeholders in shaping the future of e-commerce on the continent.
