Safaricom Ethiopia has
welcomed Matimba Mbungela, Vodacom Group Chief Human Resource Officer, for a
three-day working visit focused on leadership engagement, knowledge sharing,
and strengthening the company’s people development agenda.
Safaricom Ethiopia CEO Wim
Vanhelleputte, together with Chief Human Resource Officer Tsedale Tesfaye and
members of the senior management team, received Mbungela at the company’s
headquarters as part of his visit to engage with teams across the organisation.
During the visit, Mbungela
is expected to hold discussions with women leaders, graduate management
trainees, and executive heads of departments, sharing insights from his
leadership experience and perspectives on human capital development.
The engagement forms part of
ongoing efforts to promote collaboration, learning, and the exchange of best
practices within the wider Vodacom Group ecosystem.
Safaricom Ethiopia said the
visit will provide an opportunity for meaningful conversations and strengthen
its commitment to building a people-focused organisation that supports employee
growth, leadership development, and innovation.
