Botswana Fibre Networks (BoFiNet) has held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Gaborone, bringing together the company’s Board of Directors, executive and management team, and the Minister of Communications and Innovation, David Tshere.

The AGM provided an opportunity for BoFiNet to review its strategic direction and reaffirm its national mandate in supporting Botswana’s digital transformation and economic development.

A key highlight of the meeting was the presentation of BoFiNet’s inaugural Integrated Report, reflecting the company’s commitment to transparency, accountability and sustainable value creation.

The report is intended to provide a broader view of BoFiNet’s performance and activities beyond financial results, while strengthening its approach to transparent corporate reporting and good governance.

BoFiNet said its strategic focus remains centred on expanding broadband connectivity, advancing digital inclusion and supporting the development of Botswana’s digital economy.

The company’s role as a national fibre infrastructure provider places it at the centre of efforts to improve access to reliable broadband services and strengthen the digital infrastructure required for businesses, public institutions and communities.

The company said it would continue working with government and other stakeholders to expand connectivity, promote digital inclusion and create long-term value for Botswana’s economy.
