Chad hosted the Forum on
Internet Governance in Central Africa (FGI-AC) on Tuesday, October 13, 2026,
bringing together experts and digital actors from across the sub-region to
discuss the challenges, opportunities and prospects for the future of the Internet
in Central Africa.
The forum was launched at
the Radisson Blu Hotel in N’Djamena by the Ministry of Telecommunications,
Digital Economy and Digitalization, with the Electronic Communications and
Postal Regulatory Authority (ARCEP) taking part.
Held under the theme
“Between Intelligence and Resilience: Uniting Central Africa for Inclusive and
Sovereign Digital Governance”, the conference focused on promoting dialogue and
cooperation on digital governance across the sub-region.
Through its participation,
ARCEP reaffirmed its interest in initiatives that promote dialogue, experience
sharing and sub-regional cooperation.
The authority said such
initiatives contribute to more inclusive and coordinated Internet governance
that respects the challenges of digital sovereignty.
