The International
Telecommunication Union (ITU) Development Sector Study Group 2 workshop on
“Conformance and interoperability of telecommunications/ICT equipment for
digital transformation” brought together experts to share experiences and best
practices on regulatory frameworks, international standards and conformance
assessment mechanisms.
Cosmas Zavazava, Director of
the ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau, said strengthening these
foundations, alongside regional cooperation and capacity building, was
essential for building inclusive and resilient digital ecosystems.
The workshop focused on the
importance of regulatory frameworks, international standards and conformance
assessment mechanisms in supporting digital transformation.
The exchange of experiences
and best practices highlighted the role of cooperation and capacity building in
strengthening digital ecosystems.
