The Mohammed VI Center for
Research and Innovation (CM6RI), in collaboration with AstraZeneca Morocco, has
convened experts and stakeholders for a round table discussion on rare diseases
in Morocco, aimed at promoting a more structured and coordinated national
approach to improving care for people living with these conditions.
The meeting provided a
platform for dialogue and collective reflection on the main challenges
associated with rare diseases, bringing together experts and committed actors
from different fields to examine ways of strengthening the national response.
According to the organisers,
the diversity of expertise represented and the quality of the discussions
helped identify concrete avenues for action and foster a shared ambition to
sustainably improve the care pathway and treatment of people living with rare
diseases in Morocco.
The discussions also
highlighted the importance of a more structured and concerted national approach
to addressing the needs of patients and improving the overall organisation of
care.
The CM6RI described the
round table as a first step in a broader collective effort, noting that the
reflections initiated during the meeting would continue to inform subsequent
stages of the initiative.
The centre expressed its
appreciation to all the experts and participants for their commitment and
valuable contributions, as well as to AstraZeneca Morocco for its collaboration
in organising the initiative.
