Africa50 has held high-level discussions with authorities in Côte d’Ivoire and Qatar to explore opportunities for infrastructure investment, energy development and stronger economic partnerships between African and Gulf institutions.

The delegation, led by Africa50 Group Chief Executive Officer Alain Ebobissé, met with senior Ivorian government officials to discuss the country's infrastructure and energy priorities and identify opportunities to deepen collaboration.

The delegation engaged with Nialé Kaba, Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Yacouba Hien Sié, Minister of Infrastructure and Road Maintenance; and Mamadou Sangafowa-Coulibaly, Minister of Mines, Petroleum and Energy.

According to Africa50, the discussions reaffirmed a shared commitment to accelerating the delivery of high-impact infrastructure projects that support Côte d’Ivoire's economic ambitions.

On the sidelines of the Qatar Africa Business Forum, the delegation also held engagements with Qatari leaders to strengthen ties between African and Gulf institutions and explore new avenues for investment and partnership.

The meetings included Dr. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, Qatar's Minister of State for International Cooperation; Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums; Mansoor Rashid Al-Khater, Chief Executive Officer of the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC); and Saleh Majid Al-Khulaifi, Assistant Undersecretary for Industrial Affairs and Business Development at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Africa50 described the exchanges as another step towards building lasting Africa-Gulf partnerships founded on trust, mutual understanding and shared ambition.

As a specialist investor in African infrastructure, the organisation said it remains committed to connecting bankable African projects with the strategic partners and capital needed to bring them to life.

Africa50 also expressed appreciation to its Ivorian and Qatari hosts for their welcome and the discussions held during the engagements.
