Jomo Kenyatta University of
Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) has encouraged its students to participate
in the 2026/2027 Huawei ICT Competition, an international platform designed to
challenge university students to demonstrate their technical expertise, solve
real-world problems and compete for recognition at national, regional and
global levels.
The students were introduced
to the four competition tracks, namely Network, Cloud, Innovation and
Computing, alongside the participation requirements and opportunities available
to aspiring information and communications technology (ICT) professionals.
The competition provides a
platform for university students to test their technical capabilities, develop
practical skills and demonstrate their ability to apply technology in
addressing real-world challenges.
Through their participation,
JKUAT students will have an opportunity to compete with their peers at
different levels of the international competition while gaining exposure to
emerging technologies and professional development opportunities in the ICT sector.
