Uganda’s Minister of State
for Information, Hon. Joyce Nabosa Ssebugwawo, has called for affordable
digital access, relevant training, digital inclusion and stronger partnerships
to strengthen the country’s digital skills ecosystem.
Ssebugwawo made the remarks
as Chief Guest at the Digital Skills Dialogue on Strengthening Uganda’s Digital
Skills Ecosystem, according to the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance.
She emphasised the need to
equip citizens with practical digital skills that can support employment,
entrepreneurship and effective access to public services.
“Digital transformation must
translate into real opportunities for every Ugandan,” she said.
The dialogue focused on
strengthening Uganda’s digital skills ecosystem to ensure citizens can benefit
from digital transformation through improved access to training and
opportunities to apply their skills.
