Semiconductor
Technologies Limited (STL) has hosted a delegation from Murata Manufacturing
Co., Ltd., a global leader in multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) and
advanced electronic components, as part of efforts to deepen industry
collaboration and assess emerging opportunities within Africa’s electronics
ecosystem.

The
engagement brought together Murata executives alongside representatives from
JETRO Nairobi. The visit created a platform for discussions on Africa’s
evolving electronics and semiconductor landscape, with both parties exchanging
perspectives on market dynamics, supply chain considerations, and
sector-specific growth potential.
STL
shared its outlook on business opportunities across key industries,
highlighting trends shaping demand for semiconductor components and the broader
challenges affecting the regional ecosystem. Conversations also examined
Africa-focused market strategies and potential pathways for strengthening
institutional and commercial linkages.

During
the visit, Murata presented its portfolio of products and services,
underscoring areas of possible synergy. Both organisations described the
discussions as productive, signalling intentions for continued dialogue aimed
at advancing Africa’s participation in the global electronics value chain.
